Good morning! "Wow, the view from the top (of the Big Ten standings) is incredible!" β€” Maryland men's and women's lacrosse, probably

We’re still celebrating an all-around great weekend for the Terps. What all can you find in today's Brew?

πŸ“ˆ STOCK UP

πŸ”Ό Assistance, Please. Eloise Clevenger stands alone in Maryland women's lacrosse history, as her eight assists in a dominant 18-7 win over Ohio State set a single-game school record.

The Terps jumped ahead 4-1 almost before you could blink on Saturday, with goals from Clevenger, Victoria Hensh, Hannah Leubecker, and Shannon Smith. Leubecker scored three goals in the first quarter alone, and ended the game with four total.

πŸ”Ό Twice Is Nice. The Dirty Terps claimed their second consecutive Big Ten series over the weekend, taking two-of-three from Rutgers in College Park.

A three-run home run from Nick Lorusso in the bottom of the seventh inning gave Maryland a 6-3 lead in game one, and the Terps would go on to win 6-4.

The Terps dropped game three, 14-8. Luke Zeisloft had three RBI for Maryland in the loss.

πŸ”Ό Comeback Crew. No. 5 Maryland men's lacrosse washed away a five-goal first half deficit on the road at No. 19 Ohio State, winning in overtime, 12-11.

Luke Wierman won 19-of-26 faceoffs in the game to move into second on Maryland's all-time list, and Brian Ruppel finished with nine saves.

πŸ”Ό Low-Scoring Series. Maryland softball couldn't quite muster the offense on Sunday against Nebraska, dropping the rubber match of the series 4-0.

The Terps took game two of the three-game series using a familiar recipe - a 2-0 shutout win thanks to Trinity Schlotterbeck and Keira Bucher's work in the circle.

Maryland now stands at 27-12 overall and 4-7 in Big Ten play.

🐒 ONE BIG THING

In the midst of a 4-6 start to the 2022 softball season, Taylor Liguori's parents decided to get her a gift to cheer her up a bit. They went to a local Ron Jon's store and came back with a stuffed turtle.

Liguori showed it to her roommate, Trinity Schlotterbeck. The two then brought 'Tank' into the Terp dugout. Soon after, Tank had a new friend, a stuffed chameleon named Liddy. The two are now staples in the Maryland dugout.
