🔼 Schedule Drop. Today at 4 p.m. ET, the Maryland men's and women's basketball schedules for 2024-25 will be unveiled live on Big Ten Network's B1G LIVE!

Dave Revsine, Rick Pizzo, Robbie Hummel and Shimmy Miller will break down the schedules for all 36 Big Ten programs. Be sure to watch along while also checking in on umterps.com, @TerrapinHoops and @TerpsWBB on social media.

🔼 Half A Dozen. Maryland volleyball pushed its win streak to six matches on Wednesday night, beating Delaware State in four sets to move to 7-2 on the season!

Samantha Schnitta record 10 kills, six aces and six digs, while Lilly Gunter led the Terps with 14 digs and added five assists of her own.

🔼 Making New Friends. Maryland women’s soccer welcomes a pair of Big Ten newcomers to Ludwig Field this weekend, with Washington in town today for a 7 p.m. contest and Oregon traveling to College Park on Sunday for a 1 p.m. match.

The Huskies (3-2-2) and Ducks (4-4-0) are both still in search of their first Big Ten wins, both dropping their inaugural matches last week.

🔼 Big Teacher Day! Mrs. Madelaine Galarza, a Prince George’s County public school teacher, was awarded $2,000 on Tuesday as part of the Big Ten conference’s Big Teacher Day celebration.

Several University of Maryland Athletic Department representatives surprised Galarza with the award at her elementary school in Bowie, Md. The Big Ten, partnered with Extra Yard for Teachers and the College Football Playoff Foundation, provided the award as part of a meaningful initiative to honor exceptional K-12 educators.

🔼 Terrific Terp. Receiving little recognition as a lacrosse player growing up in Connecticut wasn’t unfamiliar to Lee Zink.

His team won a state championship during his senior year at Darien High School, and his twin brother, Alex Zink, received All-American and First Team All-State honors. But Lee was never an All-American or First Team All-State. He was never even First Team All-Conference. Lee never racked up many accolades in high school, but once he attended the University of Maryland, his game took off, and the awards followed.

Now, he’s a Maryland Athletics Hall of Famer!
