🔼 Trading Awards. Maryland safety Dante Trader Jr. did it all against Virginia last weekend — his 11 tackles tied a career high, he had an interception, and he broke up another pass.

So this will come as no shock — Trader Jr. has been named the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week!

McFerson was once again excellent for the Terps against Virginia last weekend, punting six times for a 47.33 yard average and a long of 57 yards.

🔼 Top Terp. Maryland women’s golfer Nicha Kanpai picked up the second individual win of her collegiate career Tuesday as she won the Cougar Classic at the Yeaman's Hall Golf Club in Charleston, S.C.

🔼 Express Yourself. Maryland Made’s Gossett Fellows Program hosted a career mapping art workshop led by visual artist Melanie Royster on Sept. 10 at Gossett Hall’s study lounge.

The artsy experience allowed student-athletes to express, explore and evolve their desired professional journey. Among many other pieces of advice, Royster encouraged young Terps to step outside their comfort zone and evaluate their past, present and future.
