🔼 Statement Win. Maryland men’s soccer opened Big Ten play in style over the weekend, dominating No. 8 Wisconsin in a 3-0 win at Ludwig Field.
Chris Steinleitner got the scoring started in the 16th minute and proved to be all the Terps needed, but goals from Bjarne Thiesen in the 46th minute and Colin Griffith in the 52nd minute gave Maryland a cushion.

🔼 High Five. Maryland volleyball ran its win streak to five matches over the weekend, earning a pair of sweeps over Lehigh and UMBC.
The Terps have now swept four of their last five opponents, with three matches left in non-conference action before Big Ten play begins against Northwestern on Sept. 26.

🔼 Fast & Far. Maryland women’s cross country finished eighth among 17 teams at this past weekend’s Spiked Shoe Invitational in University Park, Pa., led by Rose Coats’ 14th place finish individually.
Coats was followed by Katie Turk (36th), Eva Rogers (47th), Katie Altieri (75th) and Rubie Goffena (119th) to round out the top-five for the Terps.
🔼 Split It. No. 5 Maryland field hockey split its two games over the weekend, falling narrowly to No. 3 Virginia, 1-0, on Friday before finding all kinds of offense in a 8-1 win over Lock Haven on Sunday.
Kylee Niswonger put together a hat trick for the Terps against Lock Haven, with Carly Hynd, Fleur Knopert, Alina Gerke, Ellie Goldstein and Leah Horwitz all contributing a goal as well.

🔼 First Serve. A pair of Maryland women’s tennis players got their fall seasons started over the weekend at the Bedford Cup at the Junior Tennis Champions Center.
Aida Eissa and Katherine Hung both represented the Terps, and both notched victories on Sunday.
