🔼 Terps and Cavs. Maryland football travels to take on longtime ACC rival Virginia this weekend, and now the men’s basketball programs have future dates set — Maryland men’s hoops has announced a four-game series with the Cavaliers!

🔼 Opportunity Awaits. Maryland women’s soccer gets its biggest test to date today, hosting No. 5 Michigan State in its Big Ten opener at 7 p.m. at Ludwig Field.

The Spartans are 5-0-2 on the season, outscoring their last two opponents 7-0.

🔼 Fall Fun. Maryland women’s tennis has announced its 2024 fall schedule, which begins this Friday in College Park at the Bedford Cup!

The slate includes eight total events, concluding with the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships in Waco, Texas from Nov. 19-24.

🔼 Tumbling Terp. Jill Fisher thought her career as a gymnast was over after her sophomore year at UMass in 1999. 

The school’s program was falling apart, and Fisher-Galli began questioning her love for the sport she had been competing in since she was 5. The year prior, her lifelong idol Wendy Marshall was hired as an assistant coach at Maryland. Fisher-Galli’s prior relationship with her and her older sister Tammy Marshall played a role, and the gymnast finished her career as a Terp, where she became a Hall of Fame talent.
