🔼 Kickin’ It With The ‘Cats. Plan accordingly, Terps fans — Maryland football’s Sept. 21 home game against Villanova will kick off at noon on the Big Ten Network!

🔼 Fantastic First-Year. After a big weekend at the ACC/Big Ten Cup in Evanston, Maryland field hockey’s Ella Gaitan has been named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week!

Gaitan scored her first career goal in a win over No. 17 Boston College on Friday, finding the net just two minutes into the game.

🔼 Call It Even. Maryland men’s soccer allowed an early goal against San Diego State at Ludwig Field on Monday, but a Colin Griffith goal in the 22nd minute tied the match at 1-1.

It was a defensive battle from there, and the 1-1 score held as the final.

🔼 Back-To-Back. For the second week in a row, Maryland punter Bryce McFerson has been selected to the Ray Guy Award Ray’s 8!

McFerson punted four times for a 48.50 average and a long of 63 yards against Michigan State.

🔼 Names To Know. The Kubasik First Impact Program welcomed 17 new second-year student-athletes this summer for its third year of programming!   

The program was started through a gift to the Terrapin Club by generous supporters Jane and Chris Kubasik, donors to Maryland Athletics for more than 20 years. The program allows second-year student-athletes to better plan and prepare for their futures through unique experiences and skill-building opportunities, while exploring each individual's identity, strengths, and interests through hands-on learning and exposure to new careers.
