🔼 New Softball Leader. Maryland softball has its new head coach!

Two-time Horizon League Coach of the Year Lauren Karn has been named the Terps’ head coach, Barry P. Gossett Director of Athletics Damon Evans announced Thursday.

Karn comes from Oakland University in Michigan, where her 121 career victories are the most in school history.

🔼 Headed To Annapolis. Maryland volleyball will play three matches at the Kristen Dickmann Invitational this weekend, an event hosted by the Naval Academy.

The Terps will take on Old Dominion (2-0) today at 4 p.m., Utah Valley (1-2) tomorrow at 2:30 p.m., and host Navy (2-1) on Sunday at 2 p.m.

The Terps take on No. 20 Duke tonight at 5 p.m. before lining up against No. 17 Boston College at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Both the Blue Devils and Eagles are also undefeated so far this season.

The Terps outshot VCU 14-10 in the contest, including six shots on goal, but nothing found the back of the net.

Maryland is now 0-1-4 on the season, with a matchup against Towson next up on Sunday in College Park.

🔼 An Old Foe. No. 20 Maryland men’s soccer gets another shot at a ranked win tonight as it hosts old ACC rival No. 16 Wake Forest at 7:30 p.m. at Ludwig Field.

The first 2,000 students at Friday night’s match will receive the 2023 “The Crew” t-shirt, but must first be signed up for The Crew to receive it. Sign up for The Crew here.

Don’t Make A Wrong Turn. Do you know which campus entrance you’re using this weekend as you head to Maryland football’s season opener against Towson?

Due to ongoing Purple Line construction, parking pass holders will now need to access campus via the entrance specific to their parking pass.
