🔼 Never-Before-Seen. No. 19 Maryland men’s soccer beat Northwestern, 2-1, on Friday night and with it, the Terps are off to their best start ever in Big Ten play!
Leon Koehl got the scoring started for Maryland in the 12th minute, and Colin Griffith followed with a score of his own in the 17th minute to jump out to an early lead. The Wildcats scored in the 64th minute to make it a one-goal difference, but couldn’t find the equalizer.
🔼 One Shot Short. No. 5 Maryland field hockey fell 1-0 to No. 2 Northwestern over the weekend in a matchup of two of the best programs in the country.
The Wildcats found the back of the net in the first period and held on from there, despite eight shots from the Terps. Alyssa Klebasko made four saves in goal for Maryland.
🔼 Nothing In The Net. Maryland women’s soccer couldn’t find the net on Sunday against Illinois, losing 1-0 to the Illini in Champaign.
Liz Beardsley was once again stellar in net for the Terps, registering four more saves to up her season total to 51 through 13 contests, second-most in the Big Ten.

🔼 Back To Work. Maryland football played on the road this past weekend, losing 42-28 to red-hot Indiana. The Terps and Hoosiers went back-and-forth for most of the game, with the score tied at the 7-7, 14-14 and 21-21 marks. Here’s the postgame coverage from Bloomington:

🔼 Full Five. Maryland volleyball played in its second consecutive five-set match to open up Big Ten on Saturday, falling 3-2 to Iowa at the XFINITY Center Pavilion.
Samantha Schnitta put together another great performance for the Terps, tallying 14 kills, seven digs, seven aces, two assists and three blocks.
