🔼 B1G Weekend Ahead. Maryland volleyball kicks off Big Ten play at home this weekend, welcoming Northwestern to the XFINITY Center Pavilion tonight at 7 p.m. and Iowa on Saturday at 7 p.m.

The Terps wrapped up non-conference play at 9-2 and carry an eight-match win streak into conference play, the longest streak the team has had since 2021.

🔼 West For The Weekend. After a three-match homestand to begin Big Ten play, Maryland women’s soccer heads out onto the road to play at Northwestern today at 7 p.m. and Sunday at Illinois at 3 p.m.

The Wildcats are 5-5-1 on the season and are looking for their first conference win at 0-3-0, while the Illini are 4-4-2 and 0-2-1 in Big Ten play.

The University of Maryland will host a special screening of the critically-acclaimed documentary All I Ever Wanted on Friday, September 27, 2024, at 6:00 PM in the Hoff Theater, located in the Stamp Student Union. This exclusive event will feature an appearance by the film's director, Carlos P. Beltran, and University of Maryland basketball legend Greivis Vásquez, followed by a Q&A session and a meet-and-greet with Vásquez.

🔼 Four More. Maryland women’s tennis wrapped up play at the ITA All-American Championships in Cary, N.C. on Wednesday, with Kallista Liu standing out among a talented field.

Liu, in her first competition of the fall slate, went 4-1 during singles play.

🔼 Program Pillar. Patty Corson Robbins achieved several firsts for Maryland women’s swimming, including being the first Olympic trials qualifier and the first All-American. 

Nearly four decades later, Corson Robbins will add another critical first to her list when she becomes the first women’s swimmer in the Maryland Athletics Hall of Fame on Oct. 18.  

“To me, this is the highest achievement,” Corson Robbins said. “Even though I was an All-American, you stand on a podium at times, you win ACCs. This is a reflection of everything to me. Being the only women’s swimmer that's been inducted, I feel that I'm representing the whole program.”
