🔼 History Made. How fantastic were the Terps on the world stage over the past two-plus weeks? Thanks to Alyssa Thomas with Team USA women’s basketball and Thea LaFond representing Dominica in the triple jump, Maryland claimed two gold medals in Paris — the first time that has ever happened!

🔼 Field Level. The Terps stopped by the Baltimore Ravens’ preseason opener over the weekend to watch some familiar faces — including former Terp Beau Brade!

🔼 Next One Counts. Maryland women’s soccer is off and running with its 2024 season!

The Terps picked up a 2-1 exhibition win over Bucknell thanks to a second-half goal from Lauren Wrigley — next up is a trip to Lehigh on Thursday for the season opener!

🔼 The Bear. The Paris Olympics may have wrapped up yesterday, but we have one more Terp Olympian to highlight — Steve Sheppard became Maryland basketball’s first Olympic gold medalist while representing the United States in the 1976 Games in Montreal!

Sheppard played for head coach Lefty Driesell and the Terps from 1974-77, scoring 1,219 points and grabbing 582 rebounds during that time.

That means we are Donnell Brown days away from Terp football! Brown did a little bit of everything for Maryland last season, registering three sacks, two interceptions, one pass breakup and one fumble recovery, and enters this season as the fourth-highest rated returning edge rusher in the Big Ten according to Pro Football Focus.
