Maryland Football opens its season this Saturday, August 30 at noon against Florida Atlantic at SECU Stadium. Secure your seat for the home opener now!

⏱️ COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF

Countdown to Kickoff. We only have 1 more day until Maryland football is back on the field inside SECU Stadium for its season opener against Florida Atlantic!

Rakim Jarrett, who wore No. 1 for the Terps for his senior season in 2022, caught 119 passes for 1,552 yards and 10 touchdowns during his Maryland career.

🔼 It’s Almost Game Day. A brand-new season of Maryland football is finally here! The Terps open their 2025 campaign at home against Florida Atlantic tomorrow at noon. If you’re not in the stands, you can catch the game on BTN or on the Maryland Sports Radio Network. Here’s everything you need to know to get game-ready before kickoff.

🔼 Mission Statement. New Maryland AD Jim Smith joined 105.7 The Fan to talk with Vinny and Haynie about what he’s been up to during his first few months on the job in College Park, and shares his mission statement for the Terps.

🔼 Another W. Maryland women’s soccer posted another victory last night, this time knocking off Navy, 2-1. Ellie Egeland opened the scoring for the Terps 35 minutes into the first half, then Gemma Davitian tallied the eventual game-winner at the 63-minute mark.

Now 4-1 on the season, Maryland next plays Florida on Sunday at noon.

🔼 At Home. Maryland men’s soccer is gearing up for its home opener tonight. The Terps will take on Bucknell at Ludwig Field in a 7:30 p.m. ET match televised on B1G+. Maryland, coming off a 1-0 win over No. 25 Georgetown, will take on the Bisons for the first time since 2006. Maryland is 3-1-0 all-time against Bucknell.

🔼 Bump, Set, Spike. A new season of Maryland volleyball gets underway in South Carolina tonight! The squad will face Coastal Carolina this evening at 6:00 p.m. ET before battling North Carolina on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. ET. You can catch tonight’s match on ESPN+. 🔼 Trials of Miles. Maryland women’s cross country will start a new season today at the Trials of Miles in Virginia. The race gets underway at 7:00 p.m. ET. The Terps are looking to replicate the same magic from their season opener last year when the squad won the Salisbury Classic to start its 2024 campaign! Here’s what to look for this season.

🔼 Mark Your Calendar. Women’s tennis’ fall slate is in! The squad will open its fall schedule hosting the Bedford Cup from September 19-21, while several players will travel to Cary, NC from September 20-28 to compete in the ITA All-American Championship. Check out the full schedule here.

🔼 Watch ‘Em. Three Maryland field hockey players landed on the Big Ten Players to Watch List as a new season gets underway. Josie Hollamon, Ella Gaitan, and Alyssa Klebasko all earned spots on the watch list. Hollamon is the reigning 2024 Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year, while Gaitan earned Big Ten All-Second Team and All-Freshman Team honors during her rookie campaign. Klebasko finished last season as an All-Big Ten Second Team selection.

A season ends… and in the blink of an eye a new one begins. The in between has been furiously productive for the Terps as Coach Locksley opens up about what went wrong last year at B1G Media Days and we see what he's done so far to elevate and bond this year's young team. We get a glimpse into the future of this program. With youth comes inexperience, but also fearlessness.
