El Eyssami scored twice in his first collegiate match as No. 7 Maryland opened its 2026 campaign with a statement 2-1 road win over Pittsburgh on Thursday night. ⏱️ COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF

We have 11 days until Maryland football is back on the field inside SECU Stadium for its season opener against Hampton!

Ruben Hyppolite II, who totaled 236 tackles during his Maryland career, wore No. 11 for the first four seasons of his collegiate career before switching to No. 4 for his final campaign. Hyppolite II was a fourth-round pick of the Chicago Bears in this year’s NFL Draft.

🐢 ONE BIG THING

🔼 Introducing Los Terps! “I might be a little biased, but it might be the best gear we’ve ever gotten.”

Maryland defensive lineman Daniel Owens — like so many others — is bubbling with excitement for the Terps’ Hispanic Heritage Night on Sept. 19. When the SECU Stadium lights come on, they'll shine bright on Maryland’s new “Los Terps” helmet as the football team, University of Maryland, and DMV community celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month as the Terps take on Virginia Tech.
