🔼 Montgomery Steps Down. Maryland softball head coach Mark Montgomery announced his resignation on Thursday, due to personal reasons.

Barry P. Gossett Director of Athletics Damon Evans will immediately launch a national search to replace Montgomery, who spent four years as the head coach of the Terps.

Hosting His Alma Mater. When Maryland football hosts Towson on September 2, head coach Mike Locksley will be coaching against his alma mater.
