📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Family Bond. Two of Maryland’s own have stepped up in a major way as Scott '00 and Craig '03 Hochstadt have made a $1 million commitment to Maryland Athletics in support of the new facilities project for the Men's Lacrosse program at Gossett Hall.

Their gift, made in honor of their late father, Ira '71, will help fund the renovated locker room, new offices and meeting areas for the coaching staff, and a dedicated space to celebrate the program's past.

Scott and Craig both played lacrosse at Maryland, from 1995-99 and 1999-2002, respectively, and both earned Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of Maryland.

🔼 Young Gun. A composite four-star recruit and the first commitment to this year’s incoming class, Austin Brown has Terp fans excited to see what’s in store for the 2026-27 season.

🔼 We’re Backkkk. With less than a month to go before the start of the 2026 season, the Maryland women’s soccer team returned to the pitch on Wednesday to start preseason workouts ahead of the start of training camp in early August.

⏱️ COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF

We have 51 days until Maryland football is back on the field inside SECU Stadium for its season opener against Hampton!

Maryland football put together an undefeated season in 1951, finishing the year 10-0 with a 28-13 win over No. 1 Tennessee in the Sugar Bowl.

🐢 ONE BIG THING

🔼 Living The Big Life. The “Big Life Series” exists as a part of the Big Ten’s commitment to providing educational and developmental opportunities beyond competition. This year’s trip to the Pacific Northwest served as the latest installment of the initiative that’s existed since 2022, connecting student-athletes with the people, places, and histories that shape communities throughout the conference’s expanded footprint.

“I would 100 percent tell everyone that they should take advantage of the amazing opportunities that are given to us as student-athletes,” said Addi Mack of the women's basketball team. "My trip to Portland was awesome; getting to meet new people, experience new places, and learn about myself and others is something I am super grateful for. I not only got to strengthen my friendships with people from Maryland, but I also got to meet amazing new people as well. I had a great experience and would definitely do it again."
