🔼 On The Ballot. We’ve got a Maryland lifer up for induction into the College Football Hall of Fame!

Legendary Terp football coach Ralph Friedgen, who was the head coach at Maryland from 2001-10 and tallied 75 wins, is up for induction in 2024.

Friedgen played offensive guard for the Terps from 1966-69, was an assistant coach at Maryland from 1982-86, and took over the head job in 2001. He was the consensus national coach of the year in his first season, leading the Terps to their first ACC title in 16 seasons.

🔼 He’s Got A Shot. Jeff Kline is in Austin, Texas this week as the Maryland representative at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

Kline, who currently sits No. 2 on the Maryland all-time list in the shot put, is looking to become the first Terp to place in the event at the NCAA Championships since Ian Pyka in 1979.

🔼 New Big Man. Maryland men’s basketball has announced the addition of 6-foot-11 big man Mady Traore to the program for this upcoming season.

Traore, who originally hails from France, spent this past season as a true freshman at New Mexico State. Coming out of high school in the 2022 class, he was heavily recruited by programs such as Kansas, Auburn, Oregon and USC.
