🔼 Crowning Achievement. Maryland women’s basketball alum Alyssa Thomas has accomplished a lot in her career — but nothing quite like representing the United States at the Paris Olympics this summer!

We’ve got 72 days left until Maryland football is back on the field for its season opener against UConn!

Alvin Blount was shot out of a cannon on this 72-yard touchdown run against Virginia in 1984, in a game the Terps won, 45-34.

Blount ran for 759 yards during the 1984 season, as part of a Maryland career in which he racked up 2,158 rushing yards and 17 touchdowns.

🔼 En Garde! Steve Heck is part of a select group of former Terps who competed on a fencing scholarship, a sport which he continues to participate in to this day at 62 years old.

“It was unbelievable to receive a scholarship,” Heck said. “In fencing, it was very difficult to get one. Even today, it’s really hard to because it’s such a small sport. Any kind of assistance or anything like that was really amazing. It was really great, and I’m thankful for it.”
