🔼 Finishing Strong. Who here remembers the 1980 Maryland football team fondly? We sure do!

Sitting at 3-3 in the middle of their season, the Terps reeled off a five-game win streak to finish the regular season at 8-3 and earn a berth into the Tangerine Bowl against Florida.

🔼 Transfer Buoy. The defending Big Ten champion Maryland field hockey program just got deeper - Sammy Popper and Ashlyn Carr have joined the team as transfer student-athletes.

Popper comes by way of Princeton, where she scored 28 goals in three seasons. She was twice named All-Ivy League First Team.

Carr started for four seasons at Delaware before her move to Maryland, where she helped lead the Blue Hens to four straight CAA Championships.
