The Terps will play a 20-game conference schedule this season, including new matchups against USC, Oregon, Washington and UCLA.

πŸ”Ό Here And There. Maryland women’s basketball head coach Brenda Frese announced on Wednesday that her Terps will play a home-and-home series with Duke, beginning in the 2024-25 season!

The Terps and Blue Devils will play in College Park on Nov. 10, and in Durham during the 2026-27 season.

We’ve got 79 days left until Maryland football is back on the field for its season opener against UConn!

Charlie Wysocki burst onto the scene for Maryland football during his sophomore season in β€˜79, rushing 247 times for 1,140 yards and eight touchdowns.

The Terps went 7-4 that season, ending the year on a four-game win streak with victories during that stretch against Duke, North Carolina, Louisville and Virginia.

πŸ”Ό The Bear. Steve Sheppard was a force for Maryland men’s basketball in the mid-1970s, becoming the Terps’ first Olympic gold medalist at the 1976 Montreal Games.

Sheppard scored 1,219 points and pulled down 582 rebounds, among many other accomplishments.

It all started with a scholarship.
