🔼 Survive And Advance. No. 10 seed Maryland softball found itself tied at the end of seven innings against No. 7 seed Penn State in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament on Wednesday, but a Diamond Williams RBI single in the top of the ninth inning broke the tie, and the Terps went on to win 3-1.
Williams also homered to start the scoring in the fourth inning for Maryland, who advances to take on No. 2 seed Michigan today in the quarterfinals at 5:30 p.m. ET.
🔼 Comeback Complete. Maryland baseball found itself down 8-0 in the fifth inning Wednesday against USC Upstate, but the Cardiac Terps didn’t sweat it, and came all the way back to win 11-8 thanks in large part to a six-run seventh inning.
Eddie and Chris Hacopian, Brayden Martin and Devin Russell all had multi-hit games, while Chris Hacopian, Kevin Keister, Russell and Ben Nardi all drove in at least two runs.
