🔼 Hardshells Headed Pro. A pair of Maryland men’s lacrosse standouts had their professional dreams come true on Tuesday — Ajax Zappitello and Luke Wierman were both selected in the 2024 Premier Lacrosse League Draft!

Zappitello was selected third overall to the Maryland Whipsnakes, and Wierman was drafted in the fourth round by the Denver Outlaws.

🔼 Moving Up. Maryland women’s golf made a move up the leaderboard on Day 2 of the NCAA Bryan Regional, shooting 6-over to slide into a tie for eighth place.

Nicha Kanpai led the Terps on Tuesday, shooting 1-under to jump up 17 spots on the leaderboard into a tie for 22nd place individually at 4-over. Virginia Bossi also sits at 4-over, with Patricie Mackova right behind at 6-over.

🔼 Hoops vs. Who? Maryland women’s basketball’s 2024-25 schedule is starting to come into focus — the Big Ten announced home and away opponents on Tuesday!

The Terps will play home and away against Ohio State, with additional home games versus USC, UCLA, Illinois, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Nebraska and Rutgers.

🔼 Raised Stakes. No. 10 seed Maryland softball is playing for its season today, taking on No. 7 seed Penn State in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament at 5:30 p.m. in Iowa City.

The Terps and Nittany Lions played a close series in late March, trading wins in the first two games in Happy Valley before Penn State pulled out a 1-0 win in the 12th inning in the third game of the series.

🔼 Where Does Time Go? Maryland baseball wraps up its regular season midweek schedule today, welcoming USC Upstate to the Bob for a 6 p.m. first pitch.

The Spartans picked up their 30th win over the weekend against High Point, sitting at 30-18 overall and 14-7 in Big South play.
