🔼 One Win Short. No. 7 seed Maryland men’s lacrosse’s run toward the program’s fifth national championship came up just short in Monday’s title game against No. 1 seed Notre Dame, falling 15-5 to the Irish in a battle between the last two national champions.

The Terps scored the first two goals of the game, but a sustained Notre Dame run after that gave the Irish a lead they would not relinquish.

Eric Malever scored three points for Maryland against Notre Dame, while Jack Koras, Ryan Siracusa and Daniel Kelly all registered a pair of points.

Kelly, Ajax Zappitello and Luke Wierman were all named to the NCAA All-Tournament Team following the game.

🔼 Last Lap. Maryland track and field wrapped up its successful outdoor season over the weekend at the NCAA East Prelims with 10 individuals competing, the most for the program since 2021.

Kayla Thorpe highlighted the action, finding her way through to the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Oregon next month thanks to a javelin toss of 51.95m, a new school record.
