📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Late Rally. There’s no Big Ten team more capable of throwing 17 runs up on the scoreboard than Maryland. On Thursday the Terps needed all of them, coming from behind late to beat Penn State 17-15.

Down 15-12 heading to the ninth, Maryland rallied for five runs in the final inning. Kevin Keister got the scoring started in the frame with a sac fly, Luke Shliger hit an RBI double down the left field line to bring the Terps within one, and Nick Lorusso gave his squad the lead with a two-RBI single through the left side.

Lorusso, Keister and Elijah Lambros all had three RBI in the game, and Ian Petrutz added a pair.

Maryland and Penn State are back at it again tonight at 5:00pm ET.

🔼 Shutout To Start. Maryland softball is the No. 1 overall seed in the NISC, and acted like it on Thursday - the Terps took down Cal-State Northridge 8-0 in Fort Collins, Colo.

Maryland scored five runs over the first three innings to take the drama out of the game, and got home runs from Sammi Woods, Amelia Lech and Megan Mikami.

The win is Maryland’s first in national postseason play since 2011, and the Terps get a shot at win No. 2 today at 2:00pm ET against BYU.
