Good morning! Shoutout to Matt Woods, who hit two home runs on Saturday for the Dirty Terps but got outshined because three of his teammates broke school records in the same game. The Terrapin Brew sees you, Matt!

🔼 Yet Another Series W. The Dirty Terps continue to explode on offense when they need it most, clinching their series against Minnesota with a 15-run outburst on Sunday.
In a game of shifting momentum, the Gophers grabbed it last, scoring the final four runs to win by three. Kevin Keister, Matt Shaw and Nick Lorusso all homered, which should come as no surprise at this point.
Saturday was a day for the record books - Lorusso broke the Maryland career RBI record in the third inning, driving in his 157th career run. The very next inning Shaw decided to join him, hitting a three-run home run to give himself 157 career RBI. On top of that, Luke Shliger scored two runs to break his own record for runs scored in a single season, with 81.
Shaw played a prominent role again in this one, finishing 3-for-5 with three runs, four RBI, two stolen bases and a home run, his 23rd of the year. Lorusso, Matt Woods and Jacob Orr all drove in a pair of runs.
🔼 Not Done Yet. Maryland softball earned the top overall seed in the National Invitational Softball Tournament (NISC), and will face Cal-State Northridge on Thursday in Fort Collins, Colo., to open tournament action.
The postseason bid is Maryland’s first since its NCAA Regional appearance in 2012 and fifth overall.
🔼 Close Loss. Maryland women’s lacrosse ended its postseason journey on Sunday in the second round of the NCAA Tournament, but not before playing some really good lacrosse over the two rounds.
The Terps jumped out to a 6-2 first-quarter lead, and held the Dragons at arm’s length the rest of the way in its 11-6 NCAA Opening Round win. Libby May, Chrissy Thomas, Kate Sites and Hannah Leubecker all scored two goals, and Emily Sterling was her usual dominant self, registering nine saves.
The Terps controlled much of the game against the Dukes, leading 14-10 in the fourth quarter before JMU made a 5-0 run to end the game. Leubecker scored four times, and Kori Edmondson contributed three.
Maryland ends its season at 15-7 overall.
🔼 Opening Shootout. Maryland and Army men’s lacrosse were tied on five separate occasions in the second half of the opening round of the NCAA Tournament, with the Black Knights holding on for a 16-15 win.
Braden Erksa scored four goals and assisted on another for the Terps. Daniel Kelly, Daniel Maltz and Eric Spanos all scored twice.
Maryland ends its season at 10-6 overall.

🐢 ONE BIG THING
Maryland men’s lacrosse played in an NCAA Tournament instant classic over the weekend against Army. Unfortunately, the Terps didn’t come out on top. There’s still plenty to be proud of with this squad, though. Take a look back at the NCAA Tournament matchup through photos from Maryland Athletics.
