📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Best In Show. In Maryland softball’s best season since 2011, the Terps have athletes littered all over the All-Big Ten lists announced Wednesday.

Mackense Greico, Jaeda McFarland and Courtney Wyche were all named Second Team All-Big Ten for their contributions to Maryland’s historic season. Trinity Schlotterbeck was also recognized as a member of the All-Defensive Team, and Taylor Ligouri was selected as Maryland’s sportsmanship honoree.

🔼 Tough One. Maryland softball exited the Big Ten Tournament earlier than it hoped, losing to Iowa in the opening round 7-1.

Kiley Goff recorded the RBI in the game for the Terps, scoring Michaela Jones on an RBI fielder’s choice in the fifth inning.

With a 36-17 overall record on the season, Maryland will now await its NCAA Tournament fate, which will be determined on Sunday.

🔼 Not Quite Enough. A final round 11-over from the Maryland women’s golf team at the Athens, Georgia NCAA Regionals wasn’t quite enough to qualify for the NCAA Championships.

The Terps held onto the fourth spot on the scoreboard through two days, but were leapfrogged by Augusta and Ole Miss, which both had strong final rounds.

Angela Garvin yet again played well, shooting a final round 1-under to finish the tournament 2-under in a tie for seventh.

🔼 Draft Day. Professional lacrosse leagues want a piece of the Terps.

Maryland wrestling coach Alex Clemsen has brought the program to new heights in his four years at the helm in College Park.

On Wednesday, Barry P. Gossett Director of Athletics Damon Evans extended Clemsen’s contract through June 30, 2028.

The future of Maryland wrestling is extremely bright!
