🔼 Walk It Off. Trailing 12-8 heading into the bottom of the eighth inning against UMBC on Wednesday, Maryland baseball came all the way back, winning 13-12 on a Sam Hojnar two-RBI single in the bottom of the ninth.
Hojnar ended the night with six RBI on three hits, Chris Hacopian collected a pair of extra-base hits, and Elijah Lambros hit his first home run of the season.
The Terps earned their 12th come-from-behind win of the season, and are now 8-1 in one-run games.
🔼 Sports, Memories And Traditions. Maryland alum Philip Bass (‘82) was a long-time Terrapin Club member and football and basketball season ticket holder, who frequently took his three children — Michael, Eric and Colby — to Terrapin games as they grew up, making College Park a second home for them.
Those memories and family traditions have led the Bass family to establish a student-athlete scholarship fund in honor of their late father, Philip.
