🔼 Banks Open. It is unclear where Deonte Banks will get drafted in this year’s NFL Draft, which starts tonight in Kansas City. It is abundantly clear, though, that he will make the team that drafts him very happy.

🔼 Crown Him. Matt Shaw stands alone in Maryland history - the Terps shortstop is now the all-time home run king in school history with 44 round trippers, hitting the historic homer as part of a 16-3 drubbing of Georgetown on Wednesday.

Home runs were the story of the night - the Terps hit seven of them in a continued blitz of opposing pitching. Maryland has now scored 50 - yes, 50 - runs in its last three games.

🔼 Championship Season. Maryland women’s tennis begins its Big Ten Championships run this morning at 9:00am ET, with 9-seed Penn State in the crosshairs.

The Terps, the 8-seed in the tournament, are fresh off a 4-2 win over the Nittany Lions last Saturday.

🔼 Postseason Pins. Both Maryland men’s and women’s golf are in playoffs mode.

The No. 33 Maryland women’s team was selected to play in the NCAA Regionals on Wednesday, and will head to Athens, Ga. from May 8-10. They will be joined by South Carolina, San Jose State, Ole Miss, Ohio State, and Georgia.

🤔 TERPS TRIVIA

All The Awards. Maryland women’s lacrosse’s Abby Bosco, Shaylan Ahearn, Emily Sterling and Eloise Clevenger were named First-Team All-Big Ten yesterday. Brianna Lamoureux, Libby May and Kori Edmondson earned Second-Team honors.

🎉 TRIVIA ANSWER

Answer: Second!

The Terps land just behind Northwestern, who landed eight on the all-conference teams. Maryland has had at least three first-team selections in every season since joining the Big Ten.

Have a great Thursday, everyone.
