🔼 Hardwood Promotions. Several coaches on Kevin Willard’s men’s basketball staff are movin’ on up in rank.
Willard announced Tuesday that David Cox will now serve as associate head coach, Greg Manning Jr. will serve as assistant coach, and Charlie Butler will take the role of Director of Basketball Operations.
🔼 One Down, One To Go. Matt Shaw and Eddie Hacopian both hit three-run shots, and Bobby Zmarzlak one-upped them with a grand slam, as Maryland beat George Washington 15-8 in midweek action.
The Dirty Terps are back in action tonight, hosting James Madison in its second midweek game. The Dukes enter the contest at 20-15, and were swept at Southern Miss last weekend.
The Retrievers have a 17-12 record overall but have been dominant in American East Conference action at 9-2. They are coming off a series win against UAlbany over the weekend, in which they only gave up seven runs in three games.
Likewise, Maryland is hot coming into tonight’s game, having taken two-of-three from Iowa over the weekend, only allowing four runs in three games.
🔼 Terp Of The Links. Fresh off a first place finish at the Lady Buckeye Invitational, it’s no surprise Patricie Mackova is this week’s Solomon Eye Terp of the Week.
Mackova’s 8-under 208 tied the tournament record, as she co-led the field in par-5 scoring and was second in par-3 scoring.
This is Mackova’s fourth Solomon Eye Terp of the Week honor, winning twice in 2022 and her first in 2021.

Monday was a big day in Terpsville, as Maryland Football announced that it will wear the iconic Script Terps uniforms full time in 2023. To the surprise of absolutely no one, social media was in love with the decision.

Maryland first wore the Script Terps uniforms in 1982 with the primarily red helmet, and wore that exclusively during the 1980s. From 2001-10, the team wore the white helmet with the red Script Terps writing on the side.
