🔼 Queen’s Crown. Consensus five-star recruit Derik Queen is officially a Terp after signing his National Letter of Intent to play for Maryland men’s basketball on Wednesday!

🔼 Welcome To Terpsville. Four-star guard Malachi Palmer is now officially a Terp, signing his National Letter of Intent on Wednesday after verbally committing to Maryland men’s basketball back in January!

🔼 Lots Of Hats. No. 8 Maryland women’s lacrosse picked up a 16-12 win over No. 17 Princeton in its regular season finale on Wednesday with one of its most well-rounded games of the year.

Four different Terps recorded hat tricks against the Tigers — Hannah Leubecker, Kori Edmondson, Eloise Clevenger and Chrissy Thomas.

Maryland finishes the regular season at 12-4 overall.

🔼 Short Night. It took Maryland softball just five innings on Wednesday to earn a win over UMBC, scoring 10 runs in the third inning alone in a 14-1 victory.

Delaney Reefe and Mazie MacFarlane led the Terps with three RBI apiece, while Jaeda McFarland drove in a pair and Michaela Jones collected three hits and two runs.

On top of the offense, Bri Godfrey spun a gem for Maryland, allowing just one run and one hit in five innings of work.

🔼 Program Pillar. Derrick Lewis is one of the greatest players to ever come through Maryland — almost 40 years after his Terp career ended, Lewis remains the program’s all-time leader in blocked shots, is third in rebounding, and 20th in scoring!

“You feel indebted, there’s so many people to thank for the opportunity,” Lewis said. “I’m just grateful that I had that opportunity…The people that made that possible, they’ll never know or understand how much it means or how much it meant to me.”
