Today, we're still glowing from the weekend slate.

The Official Daily Newsletter For Maryland Athletics

Good morning! Did you feel that warmth on your face this weekend? The sun seems to shine a little brighter when the Terps rack up as many wins as they did the past few days.

What all can you find in today's Brew?

⚾️ 18 straight
🥎 B1G wins
🐢 And much, much more!

📈 STOCK UP

Matt Shaw came up big in game one (go figure), hitting a three-run homer in the eighth that put Maryland up, 7-3. The Terps won 7-5. Nick Dean, Kenny Lippman, and David Falco, Jr. combined to give up just two runs in a 3-2 win in game two.

The Terps couldn’t complete the weekend sweep Sunday, losing to Ohio State 13-8. Nick Lorusso had three hits and four RBI.

🔼 Road Warriors. No. 4 Maryland men’s lacrosse ran its road win streak to five on Sunday, beating No. 10 Rutgers 11-8.

The Terps got goals from seven different players and six handed out assists. Jack Koras, Daniel Maltz, Eric Spanos, and Zach Whittier each scored twice.

The win sets up a huge matchup with Johns Hopkins next Saturday, with first place in the Big Ten on the line.

🔼 Humbled The Hawks. Maryland softball took two-of-three on the road in Iowa City this weekend to improve to 29-13 on the season.

Game one was the Trinity Schlotterbeck show, as she tossed 6.1 dominant innings and added a hit, two walks, two RBI, and a run in the batter’s box. Game two belonged to Courtney Wyche, who tossed a complete game shutout in Maryland’s 2-0 win.

Wyche tossed another strong 6.1 innings in game three, but Iowa rallied late for a 2-1 win.

🔼 Field Shines For Track. A split meet weekend yielded strong performances across the board for Maryland track and field, although storms cut the Larry Ellis Invitational short.

Kamryn Henderson and Luke Tobia’s efforts in their respective hammer throw competitions highlighted the strong showings. Henderson’s 58.50m throw was good for fifth on the Maryland women’s all-time list, while Tobia’s 58.81m toss places him third on the men’s list.

🤔 TERPS TRIVIA

🐢 ONE BIG THING

Tasha Brozowski had done hundreds of bar routines throughout her life before she stepped onto the floor to do one at NCAA Regionals.

But the ensuing routine - one that she dedicated to her father and earned an impressive 9.850 score - would be one that she and hundreds of others would remember for a very long time.
