🔼 Comin’ To Columbus. Columbus, Ohio will be the site for a crucial Big Ten baseball series this weekend between the Terps and the Ohio State Buckeyes.
At 4-2 in conference play, Maryland has itself in the upper crust of the Big Ten. Ohio State, conversely, sits at 2-7 so far. The Buckeyes have dropped their first three Big Ten series to Indiana, Minnesota, and Michigan State.
The Terps have won their last six meetings with Ohio State, sweeping the Buckeyes in both 2021 and 2022.
🔼 Top 10 Tilt. The No. 4 Maryland men’s lacrosse squad travels to New Jersey on Sunday to take on No. 10 Rutgers in an important Big Ten matchup.
Rutgers is undefeated at home this season, fresh off a 13-12 overtime win against No. 18 Michigan. The Scarlet Knights have the most prolific goal scorer in the conference, with Brian Cameron averaging 2.67 goals per game this year.
The Terps are 34-1 all-time against Rutgers.
🔼 Rough Road. No. 10 Maryland women’s lacrosse had its nine-game win streak snapped at No. 18 Penn State on Thursday, losing to the Nittany Lions 12-7.
The game remained close through the third quarter, but five Penn State goals in the fourth put it out of reach for Maryland.
Libby May and Kori Edmondson both had hat tricks for the Terps, and Abby Bosco forced three turnovers.
🔼 Headed To Hawkland. Terp softball travels to Iowa this weekend to take on the Hawkeyes, who currently sit in fourth place in the Big Ten.
Iowa has been tougher away from Iowa City so far in the Big Ten, with a 5-1 road record and just 2-3 at home.
The two teams met last year in College Park, with Maryland taking all three games against the Hawkeyes.

🐢 ONE BIG THING
Ryan Schlothauer’s academic success in high school gave him a potential pathway to Harvard, Princeton, and Dartmouth.
He ended up choosing Maryland, becoming a preferred walk-on on the Terps football team under head coach Ralph Friedgen. He turned from walk-on to scholarship tight end, and the lessons he learned at Maryland has set him up for success in his career after football.
