🔼 Semi Sweet. No. 2 seed Maryland women’s lacrosse earned a win in the quarterfinals of the Big Ten Tournament on Wednesday against No. 7 seed Rutgers, 17-11.

Kori Edmondson, Lauren LaPointe and Devin Livingston each recorded hat tricks for the Terps against the Scarlet Knights.

Maryland will play 12th-ranked/No. 3 seed Michigan in the semifinals at the Field Hockey and Lacrosse Complex on April 25 at 7:30 p.m. The game will be televised on the Big Ten Network.

🔼 Movin’ On. No. 8 seed Maryland women’s tennis picked up a win in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament against No. 9 seed Iowa on Wednesday, 4-1, in Ojai, Calif.

The Terps won the doubles point against the Hawkeyes and got singles wins from Oliwia Orlinska, Diya Challa and Aida Eissa to clinch the victory.

The Terps will be back in action against No. 1 seed Michigan today at noon.

🔼 Double Digits. Maryland softball picked up a dominant road win on Wednesday at Delaware, 11-1.

Four Terps had multiple RBI against the Blue Hens — Sam Bean, Sydney Lewis, Julia Shearer and Caitlyn Cornwell.

🔼 And The Award Goes To. The Big Ten announced its postseason men’s lacrosse awards on Wednesday, and the Terps were well-represented — Will Schaller was named the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year and First Team All-Big Ten, and was joined on the first team by Logan McNaney and Eric Spanos.

Jack McDonald was named Second Team All-Big Ten, and Jack Schultz, Jonah Carrier and Peter Laake all earned spots on the All-Freshman Team.

🔼 Another Round. Maryland women’s golfer Nicha Kanpai has earned an individual bid into the NCAA Regionals in Charlottesville, Va.!

Saddened by the passing the incomparable Mike Patrick. At a time when Maryland basketball was first being truly televised across the state and the region, he was the face and voice of the Terps that so many welcomed into their homes.
