🔼 Tourney Time. The fourth-ranked Maryland women’s lacrosse team opens up postseason play against Ohio State in the opening round of the Big Ten Tournament later today in Ann Arbor.

The Terps clinched the 2-seed after finishing the conference season 6-2.  The Terps are seeking their fifth B1G Tournament title since joining the conference in 2014 and fifteenth tournament title in program history.

Maryland will face the No.7-seeded Buckeyes at 3 pm this afternoon.

🔼 Drive To Five. Even before taking the field for today’s B1G Tournament opener, the Maryland women’s lacrosse team is already hauling in awards.

On Tuesday, five Terps earned All-Big Ten honors. Honorees include Kori Edmondson, Lauren LaPointe, JJ Suriano, Kayla Gilmore, and Maddy Sterling, while Olivia Rockstroh was recognized with the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award.

🔼 Bash Brothers. Maryland jumped on Mount St. Mary's early and often en route to a 19-8 midweek win. All nine starters recorded hits and the Terps smacked four homers on the day.

🔼 Fresh Face. Another new face is signed on to join Brenda Frese and the Maryland women’s basketball program for the 2026-27 season.

6-0 guard Chloe Sotell arrives in College Park after spending last season at Missouri and her freshman campaign at Pepperdine. Last season with the Tigers, Sotell averaged 8.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game.

🔼 New Addition. Two-time NCAA Regional participant Lola Montevago is heading to College Park.

Maryland Gymnastics head coach Brett Nelligan and his staff announced Montevago’s addition after she spent the previous two seasons at George Washington.

🔼 Battle Tested. Maryland women’s lacrosse starts its playoff push in the Big Ten Tournament today in Ann Arbor, and the Terps are ready for the grind to eternal glory. 

One graduate senior — attacker Kristen Shanahan — has been the epitome of battle-tested. After fighting through injuries and thriving through it all, she’s ready to leave everything out on the field for her Terps.
