📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Top-10 Tussle. The third-ranked Maryland women’s lacrosse team hits the road in search of a sixth ranked win of the season when it travels to Ann Arbor for a Thursday evening battle with No. 11 Michigan.

The matchup is a rematch of last year’s Big Ten semifinals. Opening draw is set for 8 p.m. on the Big Ten Network.

🔼 Welcome To The Fam. The future keeps getting brighter for Brenda Frese and the Maryland women’s hoops program. On Wednesday, the Terps officially signed All-ACC honoree Sunaja 'Nunu' Agara to the roster for the 2026-27 season.

Agara arrives after three seasons at Stanford, where she averaged 11.4 points and 6.1 rebounds in 90 carer games. The 6-2 forward averaged 15.3 points and 8.7 rebounds with eight double-doubles this past season for Stanford.

🔼 Winning Wednesday. Freshman standout Zayda Rocke's first-inning grand slam put Maryland ahead of Howard and the Terps cruised to a 6-0 win on Wednesday night behind a complete game shutout from Aubrey Wurst.

Rocke's grand slam put Maryland ahead 4-0 before an out was recorded in the bottom of the first inning. Her blast marked her first-career grand slam, her ninth homer of her freshman season, and put the Terps in the driver's seat of Wednesday's clash.

Working to protect the early lead, Wurst was excellent in the circle for the Terps. She retired the first six batters she faced, held Howard hitless until the fourth, and kept the Bison off the board entirely in her two-hit shutout.

🔼 Practice Pics. Temps are rising outside and so is the action at Maryland Football spring camp!

🔼 Getting The Call. One day after five Terps were selected in the PLL draft, a pair of women’s lacrosse standouts followed suit with their selections in the 2026 Inaugural WLL College Draft on Wednesday night.

Kori Edmondson was chosen fourth overall in the first round by the New York Charging, while teammate Maddy Sterling was selected in the third round with the 11th overall pick by the Maryland Charm.

🔼 Helping Hands. Kevin Ford '08 and David Barnhart recently became the youngest donors to support Athletics in the University of Maryland's 1856 Society, a community of donors whose transformational gifts to Maryland have reached $1 million or more, or a planned gift of $5 million or more.

Ford is the first swimmer and sixth Maryland Athletics letterwinner to join the 1856 Society and is one of 26 letterwinners who are members of Maryland Athletics' Victory Circle, which celebrates donors who have made gifts or pledges of $50,000 or more.

🔼 Showin’ Out. After wrapping up his final season with the Maryland men’s hoops squad, Solomon Washington is looking to show out tonight as the the 72nd Annual Portsmouth Invitational Tournament gets underway.

The national event brings together the country's top college seniors to compete in front of professional scouts and agents. The P.I.T. invites 64 players to compete in the four-day event. The players are broken up into eight teams with 12 games being played over the four days. Washington will begin playing tonight at 8 p.m.

🔼 Pair To Praise. For these two Terps, their success goes far beyond just when they put on the Maryland uniform.

Maddie Komoroski of the Maryland gymnastics and Joey Schneck of Maryland wrestling were named the school's 2025-26 Big Ten Jackie Robinson Community & Impact Award winners as announced by the conference on November 19, 2025.

🐢 ONE BIG THING

🔼 Homegrown Talent. “Being born and raised in Maryland, the chance to be able to play for Maryland has been pretty special,” freshman catcher Zayda Rocke said.

It’s a sentiment shared by many on the Terps’ 2026 softball roster. This year’s Maryland squad is chock-full of homegrown talent with a shared goal of making their hometown state proud.
