🔼 Playoff Bound. A trio of former Terps are battling in the NBA Postseason and two more wrapped up stellar rookie campaigns this week as the NBA’s regular season came to a close.
Former Terps Kevin Huerter (Detroit Pistons) and Aaron Wiggins (OKC Thunder) enter the playoffs as the No. 1 seeds in each conference, while Jahmir Young and the Miami Heat will be a part of the play-in battles as the #10 seed in the East, playing the Hornets tonight in Charlotte.
Derik Queen (New Orleans Pelicans) and Julian Reese (Washington Wizards) saw their rookie seasons come to a close, but not before making some history along the way.
🔼 Feelin’ Grand. A walk-off grand slam to clinch a Big Ten series will surely turn some heads.
That’s what Devin Russell did on Sunday and his heroics earned him the Big Ten Player of the Week accolade, along with the Solomon Eye Physicians & Surgeons Terp of the Week honor.
For the week, Russell hit for a .500 batting average and 1.975 OPS on the week.

The Big Ten Tournament is set to begin four weeks from tomorrow at Maryland Softball Stadium.

🔼 Tussle With The Tigers. For the third time this year, the Maryland baseball squad will square off with an in-state opponent when the Tigers of Towson visit Bob "Turtle" Smith Stadium tonight for $2 hotdog night.
This will be the 83rd time these two teams have faced off. Maryland is currently on a 12-game winning streak against Towson and leads the all-time series, 50-30-2.
🐢 ONE BIG THING
🔼 The Future Is Bright. Maryland Athletics is moving forward with a new facilities project for the Men's Lacrosse program at Gossett Hall. Construction is slated to begin in June following the University of Maryland's 2026 Main Commencement in SECU Stadium.
This project, part of the department's larger Building Champions effort, is inclusive of a renovated locker room, new offices and meeting areas for the coaching staff, and a dedicated space to celebrate our program's past. The locker room will feature new lockers, functionality specific to lacrosse, a nutrition station and team lounge.
