🔼 Big Barrels. Maryland baseball got back on track yesterday, winning 10-2 at Delaware to earn its 15th win of the season.

Brayden Ryan, Andrew Koshy and Ryan Van Buren combined on the mound to keep the Blue Hen bats quiet, while Elijah Lambros (3), Liam Willson (3) and Chris Hacopian (2) all had multi-RBI games.

🔼 One Love Game. No. 9 Maryland women’s lacrosse fell to No. 11 Virginia on Wednesday at Notre Dame Preparatory School in Baltimore, 13-9.

Luaren LaPointe led the Terps with three goals, while Devin Livingston and Jordyn Lipkin both scored twice.

This was Maryland's One Love game. Founded in 2010 to honor the memory of former Virginia women's lacrosse player Yeardley Love, the One Love Foundation is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to educating, empowering and activating young people in a movement to end relationship violence and promote healthy relationships.

Kori Edmondson has 34 goals this season for Maryland women's lacrosse. Where does that rank among Big Ten players?

🔼 Forever A Terp. When Mark Ciardi was 15, he struck out 17 New Jersey batters during the Babe Ruth League regional championship. His family watched his dominance from the bleachers, but another eye caught Ciardi’s talent.

It was an umpire who happened to be Maryland assistant coach Ray Ruffing.

After his performance, he began receiving letters from the Maryland baseball program. For 10 straight years, Maryland had at least one Ciardi attending school in College Park. Ciardi’s two older sisters — Cindy and Kim — were Terps, and he’d visit them often while he was in high school.

It made his decision even easier when it came time to pick a place to play college baseball.
