🔼 Down Goes No. 2. No. 9 Maryland women’s lacrosse picked up its third top-10 win of the season on Sunday, this one against No. 2 James Madison by a score of 11-8!

Libby May scored four goals for the Terps, Eloise Clevenger scored twice and dished out two assists, and Chrissy Thomas handed out four assists in the win.

🔼 Proved It. The No. 8 seed Maryland women’s basketball team picked up a signature win over the weekend at the Big Ten Tournament, knocking off No. 1 seed and No. 4-ranked Ohio State, 82-61, in the quarterfinals.

The Terps then ran into a red-hot No. 5 seed Nebraska team in the semifinals, losing 78-68, and now await Selection Sunday on March 17.

🔼 Best B1G Performance. Hosting the Big Ten Championships over the weekend, Maryland wrestling put together program-bests in team finish, points and placers!

The Terps placed 10th and scored 39 points, with four individual placers — Jaxon Smith, Ethen Miller, Braxton Brown and Seth Nevills.

🔼 Over In OT. No. 7 Maryland men’s lacrosse trailed Brown by two or more goals at three different points during its match on Saturday, but a Daniel Maltz goal in overtime gave the Terps a 14-13 win, their third OT win of the season.

Maltz finished the game with four goals, while Braden Erksa scored five times and dished out three assists for a monster eight-point performance.

🔼 Winning Weekend. Maryland baseball won its second true road series of the season over the weekend, traveling to Charlotte and taking two-of-three from the 49ers.

The Terps fell 9-5 in Friday’s series opener before taking both games of Sunday’s doubleheader, 13-2 and 3-2, respectively.

🔼 Off To A Good Start. No. 49 Maryland women’s tennis kicked off Big Ten action on the road this past weekend, taking down No. 75 Nebraska, 4-3.

The Terps won the doubles point with wins on the No. 1 and 2 courts, and received singles wins from Kallista Liu, Selma Cadar and Francesca Feodorov to clinch the victory.

🔼 Onto The Postseason. Maryland men’s basketball wrapped up its regular season on Sunday, falling at Penn State, 85-69.

Jahmir Young scored 16 points for the Terps and set a career-best for points in a single season, totaling 623 on the year.

🔼 Balanced Win. Maryland gymnastics didn’t score lower than a 49.100 on a single event against Towson on Sunday, winning with a score of 196.725 as the team closes in on the Big Ten Championships, which will be held March 23 in East Lansing, Mich.

🔼 Series Split. Maryland softball used a walk-off double from Delaney Reefe in Game 2 of a Friday doubleheader against Boston College to earn a series split against the Eagles, who took Game 1.

Michaela Jones had a pair of hits and a pair of runs in the win, and Courtney Wyche earned the win in the circle, throwing all nine innings of the extra-inning contest and striking out 11.
