🔼 NCAAs Up Next! Maryland wrestling placed three wrestlers on the podium yesterday at the Big Ten Championships!

Carter Young (149 pounds) led the way with a fourth-place finish, followed by Dario Lemus (141 pounds) in sixth place and Branson John (197 pounds) in seventh. All three wrestlers punched their ticket to the NCAA Championships with their performances.

🔼 Tournament Time! Maryland men’s basketball closed the regular season with a close 78-72 loss to No. 11 Illinois on Sunday, with the Big Ten Tournament now next up this week in Chicago.

The Terps will tip off against No. 16 seed Oregon in the tournament’s first round tomorrow at 5 p.m. ET at the United Center, with the winner advancing to take on No. 9 seed Iowa on Wednesday at noon.

🔼 Still Unbeaten! No. 3 Maryland women’s lacrosse improved to 7-0 on Saturday, beating James Madison, 13-6, thanks in part to a career-high six goals from Kristen Shanahan!

Maryland is now 7-0 for the first time since 2022 and the sixth time since 2015.

🔼 Crossed Off Delaware! No. 14 Maryland men’s lacrosse stormed out to a 5-2 lead after one quarter against Delaware on Friday night and hung on to beat the Blue Hens in Newark, 13-8!

Chris Lyons led the Terps with four goals, while Leo Johnson and Braden Erksa each recorded hat tricks.

🔼 Series Secured! Maryland baseball mashed its way to a series win at Troy over the weekend, hitting seven home runs across the final two games after dropping Friday night’s contest.

Ryan Costello homered twice on Sunday in the deciding game of the series, and now has nine round-trippers this season.

🔼 Beaming! Maryland gymnastics picked up another three wins on Saturday at the Maryland Quad, beating Ball State, Temple and Cornell with a 196.225 overall team score thanks to a season-high 49.200 on the balance beam!

🔼 Scarlet Series. Maryland softball opened Big Ten play at home against Rutgers over the weekend, winning Saturday’s game against the Scarlet Knights to get on the board in conference play.

Caitlin Olensky and Aubrey Wurst combined to allow just six hits and one run in the circle on Saturday, while Sammi Woods doubled and drove in a run to lead the Terps on offense.

🔼 West Coastin’. No. 49 Maryland women’s tennis split a pair of matches out on the West Coast over the weekend, beating Oregon on Friday for its first Big Ten victory of the season, before falling to No. 15 Washington on Sunday, 4-0.
