🔼 Let’s Dance! Maryland women’s hoops has earned a No. 5 seed in the NCAA Tournament, and will take on No. 12 seed Murray State on Friday, March 20 at 3 p.m. at Carmichael Arena in Chapel Hill, N.C.!

The Terrapins earned their 16th straight NCAA Tournament bid, dating back to 2011. This is the Terrapins' 22nd NCAA Tournament bid under head coach Brenda Frese in her 24 seasons in College Park.

🔼 Triple The Fun! No. 10 Maryland men’s lacrosse won a marathon matchup against Virginia on Saturday, outlasting the Cavaliers in triple overtime, 13-12!

Leo Johnson led the Terps with three goals, including one to force the first overtime period with less than 40 seconds to play in regulation. Zach Whittier netted the game-winner in the third overtime period.

🔼 On LaPointe! No. 3 Maryland women’s lacrosse improved to 8-0 over the weekend, dominating Oregon in a Big Ten matchup out west, 15-7!

Lauren LaPointe scored a career-high six goals against the Ducks, with Kori Edmondson contributing a hat trick of her own.

🔼 Doubled Up! Maryland gymnastics closed the regular season with momentum over the weekend, winning both the Towson Quad and George Washington Quad with team scores of 195.925 and 196.100, respectively!

🔼 Jump For Joy! Maryland track and field’s Tolu Akinduro claimed Second Team All-America honors at the NCAA Indoor Championships over the weekend, earning 16th place in the women’s triple jump!

🔼 B1G Dub! No. 50 Maryland women’s tennis won its first Big Ten home match of the season over the weekend, beating Rutgers, 4-1, to improve to 10-2 on the season!

Magdalena Baniak, Lucia Donnelly and Oliwia Orlinska all won singles matches against the Scarlet Knights.

🔼 Sunday Fun Day. Maryland baseball picked up a Big Ten win on Sunday against Purdue, erasing a five-run deficit to win, 10-9!

Six Terps recorded multi-hit games in Sunday’s series finale, including Jordan Crosland, who had a home run and three RBI out of the leadoff spot.

🔼 Trip West. Maryland softball played its first Big Ten road series over the weekend, traveling to the Pacific Northwest for three games against No. 21 Washington. The Terps dropped all three games to the Huskies, nearly clipping them in a 1-0 loss in Game 2.

🔼 Spotlighting A Legend! The man who has seen it all and meant so much to so many throughout the state of Maryland, Johnny Holliday has been an icon in sports as well as a source of hope and comfort for so many. Scott MacFarlane of CBS Saturday Morning profiles the legendary Voice of the Terps and how his career has touched so many.

Earlier this year, in honor of Holliday's birthday on Oct. 15, Maryland Athletics and the Terrapin Club announced the establishment of the Johnny Holliday Endowed Scholarship to honor and celebrate the decorated play-by-play voice of the Maryland Terrapins.

The fund was started when an anonymous donor contributed a six-figure commitment to establish the scholarship that is intended to support a student-athlete majoring in Communication or Journalism.
