🔼 600 Wins! Maryland women’s basketball head coach Brenda Frese hit a major milestone last night in the Terps’ 79-61 win at Oregon, earning victory No. 600 in her illustrious coaching career!

Sarah Te-Biasu scored a season-high 26 points to lead the Terps against the Ducks, followed by Kaylene Smikle with 21 points. Saylor Poffenbarger added 13 points and 11 rebounds.

The men are back in the polls, ranked #18 in this week's AP Poll. And our Women's Basketball team is ranked #16 headed towards the madness of March.”

🔼 Road Opener. No. 4 Maryland men’s lacrosse heads out onto the road for the first time this weekend, traveling to Baltimore to play at Loyola tomorrow at 1 p.m.

The Terps got off to a hot start last weekend, winning 12-7 at home against No. 18 Richmond.

🔼 Late Loss. No. 18 Maryland men’s basketball led Ohio State for nearly 38 minutes on Thursday in Columbus, but it was the Buckeyes who came away with a win, 73-70.

Julian Reese was fantastic with 24 point and 13 rebounds. Rodney Rice (18 points) and Derik Queen (13 points) also scored in double figures.

🔼 Game 1 Gone. Maryland softball kicked off the 2025 campaign on Thursday night, falling to Arizona State in Tempe, 7-1.

Madison Runyan tripled in the third inning and was brought in by Mazie MacFarlane on an RBI groundout later in the inning for the lone run of the game for the Terps. Maryland plays twice today — against Cal at 4 p.m. ET and Miami (Ohio) at 6:30 p.m. ET.

🔼 Enjoying The Game. Jay Young just wants to play ball. 

Maryland’s 6-foot-2, 180-pound guard is playing at his fifth school and is simply focused on playing basketball. His journey is unlike many others, but his experience on the court and in different locker room settings allows him to lead the Terps on and off the court. 

Terps head coach Kevin Willard regards Young as one of the best additions he brought to College Park through the portal during the offseason.
