🔼 Off To Ohio. No. 18 Maryland men’s hoops is on the road today, traveling to Columbus, Ohio for a 7 p.m. tipoff against Ohio State on FS1.

The Buckeyes are 13-9 overall this season and 5-6 so far in Big Ten play.

🔼 Out West. No. 16 Maryland women’s hoops is out on the West Coast this weekend for a pair of games — the Terps are in Eugene, Ore. today for a 9 p.m. ET tipoff against the Oregon Ducks before traveling to Seattle on Sunday for a 4 p.m. ET game against Washington.

The Terps are in Tempe, Ariz. this weekend for the Kajikawa Classic Tournament, kicking their season off today against Arizona State at 8 p.m. ET.

🔼 Adding Reinforcements. Maryland football head coach Michael Locksley announced on Wednesday the signing of Zahir Mathis, a four-star defensive lineman in the 2025 recruiting class!

🔼 Final Round. Maryland men’s golf wrapped up the first tournament of its spring schedule this week, finishing 12th at The Battle at Briar’s Creek in Johns Island, S.C.

Emil Riegger led the Terps at 5-under, finishing tied for sixth.

🔼 Legendary Terp. Walt Williams grew up a fan of the Hoyas, while his dad was a fan of the Tar Heels. Both basketball programs dominated their competition in the 1980s.

North Carolina and Georgetown produced must-watch basketball, boasting stars like Michael Jordan and Patrick Ewing. So when North Carolina came to town to face Maryland, Walt Williams Sr. brought his son to Cole Field House for the matchup. The Tar Heels had their fair share of stars, but one player stood out the most to Williams Jr. That man was none other than Len Bias.

Williams quickly became a Maryland fan and incorporated as many characteristics of Bias’s game into his as possible. Williams and his friends always pretend to be Bias when playing pickup at the park.
