🔼 Hot Start. The 100th season of Maryland men’s lacrosse started strong over the weekend, with the No. 6 Terps winning 12-7 over No. 18 Richmond at SECU Stadium.

Maryland scored the first seven goals of the game and held the Spiders scoreless for the first 31:03 of the game, the program’s first first-half shutout since March of 2015. Matthew Keegan and Daniel Kelly both scored three goals for the Terps.

🔼 Top Of The Podium. Maryland gymnastics came out on top at the Rutgers Quad on Sunday, taking down host Rutgers, Fisk and Utica with a team score of 194.625.

🔼 Senior Celebration. No. 14 Maryland women’s basketball suffered a one-point loss on Sunday at home to Illinois, 66-65, on Senior Day for the Terps.

Three Terps scored in double figures — Kaylene Smikle (15), Shyanne Sellers (14) and Sarah Te-Biasu (10).

🔼 Sunday Grapple. No. 25 Maryland wrestling fell to No. 2 Iowa on Sunday in front of a sellout crowd at XFINITY Center, 34-9.

The Terps earned two wins against the Hawkeyes — Braxton Brown earned a fall at 133 pounds and No. 6 Ethen Miller earned a 4-2 win at 157 pounds.

🔼 Making Waves. The Maryland track and field top-10 lists look a little different after this weekend, with a trio of Terps making their marks — Kami Joi Hickson (1:31.26) and Lydia Robling (1:33.42) both ran top-10 times in the 600 meters, while Katie Turk (9:30.75) did the same in the 3,000 meters.

🔼 Golf Gets Going. Maryland women’s golf kicked off its 2025 spring season in Mexico over the weekend, finishing eighth at the Collegiate Invitational at Guadalajara Country Club.

Panassaya Somchit led the Terps, shooting 8-over to finish 23rd individually.

🔼 Two In NY. Maryland women’s tennis fell twice in New York over the weekend — 4-1 to Columbia on Friday and 4-3 to Notre Dame on Saturday.

The Terps earned the doubles point against the Irish on Saturday, while Kallista Liu and Tamari Gagoshidze both won singles matches.
