🔼 Generous Gift. Margie and Bob Bedingfield, 1972 and 1970 graduates of the University of Maryland, respectively, have made a $1.625 million commitment to Maryland Athletics through the creation of two endowed scholarships. 

Both scholarships will provide merit-based support for undergraduate student-athletes in perpetuity, with the Margie and Bob Bedingfield Endowed Scholarship for Men's Basketball supporting the men's basketball program and the Margie and Bob Bedingfield Endowed Scholarship for Athletics supporting all programs with preference given to the men's basketball and men's and women's golf programs.

🔼 Lots Of Runs. Maryland baseball scored six runs in the eighth inning on Tuesday to get within one run of Delaware in its home opener at the Bob, but couldn’t get the tying run to score in a 13-10 loss to the Blue Hens.

Chris Hacopian had three RBI for the Terps, and Alex Calarco hit his sixth home run of the season.

🔼 Tuesday In Texas. Maryland women’s golf finished up play at the Chevron Collegiate in Houston on Tuesday, placing 11th as a team at the tournament.

Nicha Kanpai led the way for the Terps, shooting 7-under overall to finish in the top-10 individually.
