🔼 Special Coach. Maryland football head coach Michael Locksley has announced the hiring of Andre Powell as the team’s Special Teams Coordinator!

Powell, who has over 35 years of coaching experience, spent the 2024 season serving as the Special Teams Coordinator at East Carolina University. He came to ECU after a nine-year stint at Pittsburgh where he served as both the Running Backs Coach and the Special Teams Coordinator for the Panthers. In 2016, Powell was named FootballScoop's Special Teams Coordinator of the Year.

Powell and Locksley worked together on the Maryland football staff from 2012-14.

🔼 Watch Out. Maryland women’s lacrosse’s Kori Edmondson has been included on the initial Tewaaraton Watch List, which was released on Tuesday!

Edmondson returns to College Park for her third season after a standout 2024 campaign. Her impressive performance earned her 2024 Second Team All-Big Ten honors, and she was ranked No. 17 in Inside Lacrosse's Top 50 Players of 2025.

🔼 Island Golf. Maryland men’s golf finished up play at the Palmas del Mar Collegiate on Tuesday, the team’s first tournament of the spring.

Benjamin Siriboury led the Terps with a 2-under 54-hole total, good for a 15th place finish. Maryland finished ninth as a team at 4-over.
