🔼 Outburst On Offense. Maryland men’s basketball improved to 8-5 in Big Ten play on Sunday, winning 90-81 at home against Rutgers.

Four Terps scored in double figures against the Scarlet Knights — Derik Queen (career-high 29 points), Rodney Rice (19), Selton Miguel (17) and Ja’Kobi Gillespie (14).

🔼 West Coast Win. No. 16 Maryland women’s basketball picked up its second victory of its West Coast trip on Sunday, winning 81-73 at Washington to improve to 19-5 overall and 9-4 in Big Ten play.

Kaylene Smikle led the way with a career-high 36 points, followed by Shyanne Sellers with 15.

🔼 OT Winner. No. 4 Maryland men’s lacrosse earned a gritty 8-7 road win on Saturday, getting a game-winning goal from Matthew Keegan in overtime against Loyola.

Down 5-2 heading into the fourth quarter, the Terps scored four straight goals in just over four minutes of action early in the quarter to take a 6-5 lead.

🔼 Winning Weekend. Maryland softball heads out of opening weekend with a winning record, earning victories over No. 21 Cal, Miami (Ohio) and Utah at the Kajikawa Classic in Tempe, Arizona!

Caitlyn Cornwell led the Terps with six hits over the weekend, while Sydney Lewis hit a pair of home runs. Bri Godfrey, Julia Shearer and Aubrey Wurst all earned wins in the circle.

🔼 Clean Sheet. Maryland women’s tennis was perfect over the weekend, not giving up a single point in wins over Howard and Morgan State.

With the two wins, the Terps are back to .500 at 3-3 so far this spring.

🔼 Crossing The Tape. Maryland track and field returned home from the Indiana Fairground Invitational over the weekend with four event wins — Chioma Njoku in the weight throw (20.40m), Kami Joi Hickson in the 600 meters (1:32.17), Tolu Akinduro in the triple jump (12.06m) and Katie Turk in the mile (4:49.31).

🔼 Ranked Opponents. Maryland wrestling suffered a pair of defeats to ranked conference opponents over the weekend — a close 21-20 loss to No. 12 Rutgers on Friday and a 35-10 loss to No. 1 Penn State on Sunday.
