🔼 Connect Four. Maryland men’s basketball won its fourth consecutive game on Sunday, beating Alcorn State, 96-58, to improve to 7-1 on the season.

Derik Queen led all scorers with 20 points, his fourth 20-point effort of the season, tied for the most in the country by a true freshman. Julian Reese also played a big role with 14 points and 11 rebounds.

🔼 Still Perfect. No. 10 Maryland women’s basketball took down Toledo on Sunday, 92-70, at the Navy Classic in Annapolis to remain perfect on the season at 8-0.

Saylor Poffenbarger scored a game-high 19 points off the bench for the Terps and added 10 rebounds for her 15th career double-double.

Maryland began its weekend with a Saturday matchup against George Mason, winning 66-56. Poffenbarger also grabbed a double-double in that game with 10 points and 12 rebounds.

🔼 Football Finale. Maryland football fell in its season finale on Saturday, 44-7, at No. 4 Penn State.

The Terps got off to an exceptional start, forcing a fumble on the Nittany Lions' first offensive play of the day and scoring a one-play touchdown on the ensuing drive as MJ Morris found Kaden Prather for a 25-yard score. Penn State took control from there, however, to earn the win.

🔼 13K Strong. Maryland volleyball shattered its attendance record over the holiday weekend, with 13,071 fans at XFINITY Center to witness the Terps take on No. 2 Nebraska on Saturday.

The Terps took the first set against the Huskers, but dropped the next three in a four-set defeat to close out the 2024 season.
