🔼 Wearing The Crown. For the second time this season, Derik Queen has been named the Big Ten Men’s Basketball Freshman of the Week!

Queen was dominant last week, averaging 21.5 points and 11.5 rebounds in games against Ohio State and Purdue. The freshman leads Maryland in scoring (17.5 ppg) which also ranks second-best among Maryland freshmen dating back to 1947-48.

🔼 Top Terp. After setting a new Maryland record in the indoor 200 meters at the Navy Invitational over the weekend in a time of 23.69 seconds, Armanie Coleman is the Solomon Eye Physicians & Surgeons Terp of the Week!

Under Armour has produced limited edition merchandise available exclusively for new members of the One Maryland Collective. The merchandise features a vintage logo that will be exclusive to Under Armour.

The “Terrapin Throwback” initiative was inspired by Coach Locksley, who last year started wearing one-of-a-kind hoodies featuring vintage marks. The unique hoodies were quickly noticed on social media and message boards, and demand quickly mounted.

🔼 Spirit Of The Season. Maryland Athletics, in partnership with Prince George’s County Child Resource Connect, hosted its annual Adopt-A-Family event, which gives gifts to families in need. 

PGCRC is a program that aims to help families and children in need in Prince George’s County through education, community service initiatives, child care and other efforts.
