๐Ÿ”ผ Tough Road Contest. Maryland womenโ€™s basketball fell on the road at No. 8 UConn Thursday night, 80-48.

The Terps held a lead midway through the second quarter, but an extended run from the Huskies proved too much.

๐Ÿ”ผ Weekend In Philly. Maryland menโ€™s basketball has a shot at a big bounce-back tonight as it heads to Philadelphia to take on Villanova.

The Terps are looking to get back on track after losing a pair of three-point games in Asheville, N.C. last weekend, while the Wildcats are coming off a four-point loss to Penn on Monday.

๐ŸŽ™ PRESS CONFERENCE: Kevin Willard โ€” Villanova

๐Ÿ”ผ Headed West. Maryland volleyball travels to the state of Indiana this weekend for a pair of contests against teams in the upper-half of the Big Ten standings.

The Terps are in Bloomington tonight for a match against the Hoosiers (8-8 B1G), before heading over to West Lafayette to take on Purdue (11-5 B1G) this Saturday.

๐Ÿข ONE BIG THING

Honoring A Legend. Chris Cowdrey was a fantastic teammate and captain of the Maryland football team during the early 1970s before dedicating his life to the Marine Corps, eventually becoming a General and completing a military career that spanned approximately 40 years.

After his retirement from the Marine Corps, Cowdrey was diagnosed with glioblastoma, and fought the disease for five and a half years before ultimately passing away in June of 2020.

This weekend, as part of Maryland footballโ€™s Military Appreciation Day, Cowdrey will be honored for all he did for the country and his family will be recognized during the gameโ€™s honorary captain recognition.
