🔼 Back For More! No. 10 Maryland women’s basketball is back inside XFINITY Center today, hosting UMBC at 6 p.m.!

The Terps are coming off a historic season opener against Loyola, allowing only 26 points to the Greyhounds, the lowest total of the Brenda Frese era.

🔼 Tournament Time. No. 2 seed Maryland field hockey begins its Big Ten Tournament run today, playing No. 7 seed Ohio State at 2 p.m. in Bloomington, Indiana!

Today’s matchup is the second of the season between the Terps and Buckeyes, the first ending in a 2-1 overtime win for Ohio State in Columbus.

🔼 Makin’ Plays. Maryland defensive lineman Zahir Mathis has been named one of 14 semifinalists for the Shaun Alexander Freshman of the Year Award!

Mathis has shined for the Terps during his true freshman season, compiling 23 tackles, six tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks and blocking a kick. Despite missing nearly all of the past two games with an injury, Mathis still ranks 12th in the Big Ten in total sacks.

🔼 Sunday Terps. Former Maryland quarterback wide receiver DJ Moore threw a touchdown pass, rushed for 17 yards and caught four passes for 72 yards last weekend against the Cincinnati Bengals — check out how all the Terps in the NFL did during Week 9!

🔼 Instant Superstar. Maryland field hockey’s Jordyn Hollamon is already making a name for herself after adjusting to a new position and new level of play!

Abbott and Big Ten will host 12 "We Give Blood" Weekly One-Up Challenges. These mini competitions will pit two Big Ten schools against each other to see which can show up to donate the most during the week. Everyone from the winning school who showed up to donate, at any time during the campaign, will have a chance to win select memorable experiences offered by the universities.

This week’s One-Up Challenge is Maryland vs Rutgers. The last day to donate is 11/7. Learn more here.
