🔼 Marquee Win! Maryland men’s basketball picked up its biggest win of the season in its first true road test on Saturday, winning 89-82 at Marquette to improve to 3-1 on the year.
A late run propelled Maryland past the Golden Eagles as five Terps finished in double figures. Maryland scored 47 second-half points and erased a nine-point deficit to flex its depth and grit on the road.

🔼 Win Again! No. 9 Maryland women’s basketball moved to 5-0 on Sunday, winning 84-68 over Princeton at the XFINITY Center.
Oluchi Okananwa tallied her fifth double-digit performance in as many games in 2025 with a season-high 20 points against the Tigers. Maryland outrebounded Princeton 39-28 and benefited from nine three-pointers to move its undefeated season along. The Terps have scored 80 or more points in their first five games for the first time since the 2021-2022 season.

🔼 Threw It Down. Maryland wrestling picked up a pair of wins at the Throwdown on the Yorktown in Charleston, S.C. on Saturday, beating Gardner-Webb, 27-13, and The Citadel, 24-9.
🔼 Running Rose! Maryland cross country’s Rose Coats has qualified for her second consecutive NCAA Championship after posting a top-10 finish at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional on Friday morning!
🔼 Illini Fight. Maryland football suffered a 24-6 defeat at Illinois on Saturday at Gies Memorial Stadium.
Malik Washington threw for 238 yards on 25-of-46 passing. Shaleak Knotts led the Terps with four catches for 62 yards while DeJuan Williams Farooq added eight receptions for 50 yards.

🔼 Weekend Away. Maryland volleyball dropped a pair of Big Ten road matches over the weekend, in three sets at No. 9 Purdue on Friday and at No. 18 Indiana on Sunday.
The Terps are back home this Friday, hosting No. 20 Minnesota at 7 p.m.

🔼 Happy Hollidays! When the Terps take on Mount Saint Mary’s on Wednesday, Johnny Holliday will once again be on the microphone. The contest will be his 1,500th Maryland men’s basketball game he’s called for an institution he holds dear.
“I don’t think you can really put it into words,” Holliday said. “When I started back in 1979, I never ever envisioned 47 years later still doing the games. It’s an honor to represent the University of Maryland. To be able to be associated with head coaches and players and the athletic directors, you can’t make out how exciting, how gratifying it is. I love it.”
