🔼 All Tuned Up. No. 18 Maryland women’s basketball finished up its preseason schedule on Wednesday, beating Frostburg State, 90-40, at the XFINITY Center.

Kaylene Smikle led the Terps with 24 points, eight rebounds and seven steals in 26 minutes, followed by Shyanne Sellers (18), Allie Kubek (15) and Sarah Te-Biasu (12), who all scored in double figures.

Under Armour has produced limited edition merchandise available exclusively for new members of the One Maryland Collective. The merchandise features a vintage logo that will be exclusive to Under Armour.

The “Terrapin Throwback” initiative was inspired by Coach Locksley, who last year started wearing one-of-a-kind hoodies featuring vintage marks. The unique hoodies were quickly noticed on social media and message boards, and demand quickly mounted.

🔼 Miller Time. Maryland women’s basketball forward Saylor Poffenbarger has been named to the Cheryl Miller Award Watch List, given to the nation’s top small forward!

Poffenbarger, a native of Middletown, Md., played at Arkansas last year, where she averaged 10.2 points and 11.2 rebounds per game, while racking up nine double-doubles on the year.

🔼 Major League Terp. During Sean Burke’s junior year of high school, he decided between four schools: Maryland, UConn, Virginia and Virginia Tech. 

“When I visited Maryland, I just really loved the campus,” Burke said. “I loved how the baseball field was in the middle of the campus. I loved how it was far from home but not too far, so it felt close. … I fell in love with the coaches once I took a visit.”
